Woman Suffers Serious Gunshot Wound in Eliot Neighborhood

A woman suffered a serious gunshot injury after a shooting in the Eliot Neighborhood.

On Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:07p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of someone shot outside of a gas station in the 500 block of Northeast Broadway. When they arrived they found an adult female victim with a serious gunshot wound. They provided initial aid until paramedics arrived, provided care, and transported the victim to the hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Officers did initial investigation and learned that the suspect left before police were called. The Enhanced Community Safety Team was out working enhanced patrol with FBI and ATF task force partners and responded to scene. The investigation is ongoing.
